Hot sweltering sticky oozing…

This doesn’t come close to describing the current heatwave summer weather that cape town is having. And according to the weather man today is nothing… tomorrow is even hotter!

34 degrees (Celsius) here at the moment and it’s already 9pm.

It’s so hot that even with the ceiling fan on I can see fishy battling the summer goddess in his sleep.

Don’t get me wrong. I love like summer but this is just ridiculous! Bring me my mid-seasons back. At least their sunlight is warming and not melting!

Ever since fish fell headfirst into the pool last year he’s been very weary of water (this includes bath time being a nightmare ordeal). Today though… today was was a true little fish in the water. Kicking his legs like I asked. Playing pool soccer. All the time holding onto me , or whoever was carrying him, like a monkey. But the point is my weary little baby was a big swimming boy today!

This morning we took a trip to Little Picasso’s. a new moms and tots play place that opened up in parklands. Thank you to Tamryn who treated us as the finances still aren’t right yet.

It was amazing. And I do suggest that if I have any cape town followers you make a trip there. There is an arts and crafts room, a theater, a play house, a fantasy room and tons more. The help is amazing, you can simply sit back and enjoy lunch and someone will watch over your little one. Everyone is friendly (well almost everyone) and at ease. Soon as things come right I will definitely be taking fish there again. He had an absolute ball! Will be posting the full story over on his blog!
